STEM careers are some of the fastest growing and highest paying jobs that will be developing over the next 20 years. We want our students to be ready for them. Teaching students to be better critical thinkers and problems solvers while developing their engineering and hands-on skills are our major goals.
To help your child be able to attend the Southside Summer STEM Camps, the school is going to provide the following:
No cost to participate
Transportation will be provided
Breakfast and lunch will be provided
Your child can join the fun this summer! Our STEM camp is designed to make learning fun again! We want our campers to experience how enjoyable learning about science, technology, engineering, and math can be while also getting back to the basics of how kids learn - by discovering the unknown! We want the engage our campers by exploring the unknown and developing their natural curiosity of the world around them. They will learn to observe and describe what they see so that they can develop questions that lead to more self confidence in their application of essential scientific knowledge. Our goal is for them to expand their scientific knowledge through the development of higher reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Parents can help campers choose two great adventures! Our two week camps run from June 6-9 and June 13-16. Our learning adventures will be at the Southside Elementary, Middle School, and Junior High School campuses from 8:00-1:30 each day. Breakfast and lunch will be served. We will also be making time for super fun recreation and game time! Fill out your registration form today to hold your spot!
