Hello, I am Mr. Rogers and I am currently entereing my 17th year of teaching agricultural science and serving as an FFA Advisor. San Antonio has been home for nearly 20 years, but I am originally from Northeast Texas. After graduating high school, I attended Texas Tech University (Wreck Em!) for 4 years, earning my B.S. in Horticulture in 2004. Upon graduation, I moved from Lubbock to San Antonio and began working in the green industry. In July of 2008 I started my teaching career as an Agriculture Science/FFA Advisor at Highlands High School. I have taught several different courses in the AFNR cluster and currently teach the Principles of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources at 3 campuses - Losoya MS, Matthey MS, and Southside HS. I'll be serving as the lamb and goat advisor for 2024-25. I am glad to be at Southside and look forward working with our students and FFA members. Email is currently the best way to reach me, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
