Core Essentials

Core Essentials is a program adopted by CISD that, "promotes a safe learning environment for all students". It promotes kindness, respect and compassion for others and CISD uses the Core Essentials program as its Character Education message. - CISD Counseling Department 

Each month I will visit every classroom and teach a guidance lesson centered around the Core Essentials character trait for that month. The values for the 2024-2025 school year are:

• August: Wisdom

• September: Compassion

• October: Self-Control

• November: Generosity

• December: Service

• January: Resilience

• February: Uniqueness

• March: Compassion

• April: Hope

• May: Initiative
