Mrs. Telke-Lyver

Art Educator, JFK Unified Arts Department

Welcome to ART @ John F. Kennedy!

Welcome to Art at John F. Kennedy Middle School! The middle school years will be filled with new beginnings and surroundings, and meeting the challenges of many new adventures. Your child’s classroom experience with me during their middle school year(s) will be very experimental in nature while learning many new artistic skills.

I would like to take a minute to introduce myself, as I have every student throughout the year, I don’t generally have the opportunity to do so in person as much as I’d like. I hold a B.S. in Art Education, with a PreK-12 Connecticut Teaching Certification, and an M.S. in Educational Leadership. I have been working in Southington since 2006. Southington is where I grew-up and, in fact, attended Kennedy myself in grades six through eight. I began teaching part-time at ALTA and Thalberg Elementary Schools, and later began working full-time at Southington High School. I have been here at JFK since 2012.

Please read through my website and, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
