Every Student, Every Day, The Southern Way
Library Vision:
The Southern Public Schools Media Center wants to build a community where
students and staff can learn and succeed in life. The library wants to
empower students to learn to their fullest extent. Students are
pushed to be prepared for middle school, high school, college, and
life. The library will enable students to seek truthful, reliable
information and encourage students to be lifelong learners.
Library Mission:
Our purpose is to create a welcoming community for students and
teachers to have the freedom to learn and transform into lifelong
learners. We want to encourage our individuals to expand their
knowledge and minds through books, technology, and effective research.
We want to collaborate!
Have an open-door policy, make sure that all know that all are welcome and no question/concern is to be taken lightly.
Create fun, engaging lessons and activities for students and staff.
The collection of books and resources is large, diverse, updated, and trustworthy.
Technology is updated when needed for staff and students and funds are available for staff to purchase what is needed for students to effectively learn via technology.
Students and staff need to have an understanding that we are there for them. We will work together to help build relationships among students and staff.
