About: The Region 9 Low Incidence Project has funds available to support students pursuing special education licensure in a variety of special education areas. This initiative is made possible with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using federal funding.

TEACH Grant
About: The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching. It requires you to agree to complete four years of qualifying teaching as a condition for getting the grant

About:Under the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program, if you teach full-time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income school or educational service agency, and meet other qualifications, you may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500 on your Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans and your Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans.
Award: Up to $17,500
How to receive funds:
attained at least a bachelor’s degree;
received full state certification as a teacher; and
not had certification or licensure requirements waived on an emergency, temporary, or provisional basis
You apply for teacher loan forgiveness by submitting a completed Teacher Loan Forgiveness Application to your loan servicer after you have completed the required five consecutive years of qualifying teaching.

About: The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.
