Read & Write

All South Bound Brook Students, Faculty, and Staff have the Read & Write extension available to use while signed into their Southboundbrookk8.org Google Account. You will need to use Google Chrome on Windows, Mac, and ChromeOS (Chromebook). 

What is Read&Write

• Help students understand unfamiliar words with text and picture dictionaries. 

• Improve reading comprehension: hear web pages and documents read aloud with a choice of natural voices.   

• Develop writing skills and confidence with word prediction and grammar, spelling and confusable words checker. 

• Support homework and independent research with study skill tools

• Turn documents and web pages into MP3 files for easy listening on the move. 

• Assets English Language Learners and students studying a second language. 

• Accessibility features like screen masking give extra support to students with dyslexia and other literacy challenges.
