In your Writer's Notebook, write your own "how to" story on how to build a snowman.

In your Writer's Notebook, choose an opinion topic from the list I brainstormed or choose an opinion topic of your own. Then, write an opinion piece starting with a topic sentence, using three detail sentences, and closing with a conclusion sentence. Remember to use capital letters and punctuation where it belongs. :)

Read my two sentences. In your Writer's Notebook, copy the two sentences but "be the teacher" and correct any mistakes I may have made!

Finally, get out your Writer's Notebooks and write 3 interesting facts that you learned about penguins. This does not need to be in story form. You can even label them 1, 2, 3.
