Staff

Tessa is a senior at Southampton High School. Her main interests include writing, reading, and making all kinds of music. She plays with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York, and attended Brown Pre-College for writing composition. In her free time, she is either with her two cats, Poe and Atticus, trying to learn a new instrument, or creating a dent in her bed mattress from reading and watching Netflix documentaries. 

Ronan is a junior at Southampton High School, he joined next gen media with the hopes of advancing his writing skills, and understanding how to report and be a journalist. Ronan enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing hockey and golf. Ronan has a passion for volunteer work and service to help his community, and hopes to spread awareness about community issues, and local sporting events through Riptide news 

Bella Duque, sophomore at Southampton High School, class of 2025. She loves writing about music, movies, and fashion. Her hobbies include going on bike rides, playing lacrosse, and cooking/baking. Bella plans on attending college as a Journalism major, focusing on music and fashion. She loves being outdoors and spending time with friends. 

Anabella Fischette is a 15 year old sophomore here at Southampton High School. She plays for the Girls Varsity Soccer team, and will play Girls Varsity Lacrosse in the spring. 

Jaycee Newcomb is a senior who is writing for the Shinnecock/ Indigenous section of the paper. Being Shinnecock she’s made it her mission to enrich herself in her culture and be an advocate for the Indigenous community. Her hopes are to educate others on Indigenous culture and struggles and share her knowledge, hopefully sparking interactive discussions that squash bias. 

Beatriz Pariz is a freshman in high school (class of 2026). She was born in Brazil, and moved to the US in 2017. Some of her favorite things to do are traveling, going on walks, and going to the beach. She is currently part of the volleyball team, and plans to join softball in the spring. 

Anna is an 11th grade student, in the class of 2024. She enjoys horseback riding, hiking, reading and watching scary movies. 

Wyatt Race is an eleventh grade student at Southampton High School as a sixteen year old. He currently serves as Co-President of the Junior Class, Secretary of the Environmental Club, and one of the founding members of MOSH (the Men of Southampton singing group). Among Wyatt’s favorite things to do include playing golf, hanging out with his friends and family, watching football, and acting.  

Molly is a senior at Southampton High School. Molly enjoys all kinds of writing, fashion, and cooking. Molly is Class President, in the school's orchestra, President of the Best Buddies Club and dances with the Hampton Ballet Theater School in Bridgehampton. 

 Biz Terry  is  17 years old. She is a senior and the captain of the cross country team.
