Upcoming Trainings for Pipeline Observers from NC Pipeline Watch

These trainings will get you oriented and provide you the information to get in the field and monitor currently ongoing construction of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline for pollution issues. We will talk about where the pipeline route is planned, what types of pollution control measures to look for, how to determine if those measures are working, and how to record and report problems. Maps and reference documents will be available at our trainings.

Duke Energy and Dominion Resources are trying to run a fracked gas pipeline 200 miles in North Carolina through communities and across waterways. As construction starts we continue to work to stop the pipeline and want to ensure ACP fully complies with regulations intended to protect people and the environment from pollution by engaging volunteer observers. This program is organized by NC Pipeline Watch, a group of conservation and community organizations.

This webinar is intended to provide resources to volunteers through training to perform in the field monitoring of construction activities, a monitoring guide, field data sheet, maps, and pictures of pollution control measures.
