(1) Art Task
My Stationery Case
Applicants are to produce an original pencil drawing of the above subject.
The drawing is an observational task. It should demonstrate observational skills and technical control in drawing using graphite pencils (e.g. shading, line work, and tonal value).
The drawing must include the subject matter. There should be no more than 3 items related to the subject matter apart from the stationery case itself. For instance, in addition to the stationery case, you may include 1 pencil, 1 eraser and 1 ruler.
Compositional arrangement is not a criteria in the assessment. This means that other items or backgrounds not related to the subject matter in the drawing will not be assessed.
The applicant is advised not to crop the subject matter and to draw the entire object(s) related to the subject matter.
Please use only graphite pencils and white A3 drawing paper (29.7 cm x 42.0 cm). DO NOT enhance the drawing with other medium, .e.g colour pencils, pen, charcoal etc.
The drawing should be executed from 4 November 2024 onwards. DO NOT submit work completed before 4 November 2024.
Applicants should not spend more than 3 hours on this task.
