Reactions

This is a picture of our hydrogen rocket lab. This was a great way for us to put everything we have learned this semester and execute it in the lab. I think one of the most challenging parts was getting the correct concentration of O2 and H2 in the bottle and fully filling the bottle with the gases. By the color in the picture, I think we did a pretty good job!

Journey six was all about reactions. We learned how to balance a reaction and make ICE tables. These ICE tables allowed us to figure out how much of the reactant, how much excess reactant we had left, and how much of the end product we had left. This is unit was very rewarding to me because we were really able to see all of the skills we had learned this year really come together as a whole. I felt like I was able to really understand chemistry, which is super cool!
