Journey 6

In journey six, we learned how to use all of our new chem knowledge together to answer larger scale questions. We used PV=nRT, and ICE Tables mostly. We also brought mole conversions back, and I got more comfortable with doing those conversions than I had been before.

Unfortunately, due to the orientation of my phone, we couldn't see the top of the bottle, so we don't know if it really was fully balanced or not, but it certainly looks like it at the bottom.

The H2/O2 Rocket lab was really fun. We figured out the correct ratio of hydrogen to oxygen, and then bubbled both gases into two liter bottles. Then we took them outside and set them off. We would know if the ratio was correctly balanced by whether or not the flames filled the bottle from top to bottom.
