This is the original "schematic" for the Dustpan. We made several improvements along the way, such as removing the back wheels and motors and adding a better plow and ramp.
This is the basic structure we decided on. No back wheels for a fast turning speed, big front wheels for more speed, and light weight for even more speed! "We gonna take it to Florida and win the Daytona 500 ya'll", as my partner Danny stated.
The front plow was added so that we didn't end up driving over the other battle bots.
This is the finalized model. We'd decided to add the ramp first as protection for our receiver, but later realized that we could essentially carry our opponents and hopefully maybe even get them to drive over us instead!

I don't believe this qualifies as a robot. It is a machine that is operated by a human and cannot operate by itself. While the Scribble Machine was much simpler, it was able to function on its own, once turned on. I believe that the key to discerning robots from other machines is whether or not they are autonomous.
