Meet the ESY Coordinators

Ms. Tivoli Hunt

Ms. Hunt is one of the 4th Grade Math & Science teachers at Tuscan Elementary School. While she's taught for the last eleven years at Tuscan, Ms. Hunt grew up in Maplewood and went through Seth Boyden Elementary, Maplewood Middle and Columbia High School. She studied at Rutgers University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees then went back to get her Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification from the Nathan Weiss Graduate School at Kean University. Ms. Hunt is the oldest of seven kids and has an adorable, energetic, nine year old son, DJ. She loves traveling and studied abroad in Valencia, Spain during college. Her favorite place is Lake Placid, NY where her family visits every summer.

Mrs. Ryann Giusti

Following in her mother's footsteps of being a special education teacher of 42 years, Mrs. Giusti pursued her dreams since the age of 2 and went to the University of Hartford to become one herself. There she obtained a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education and certifications to teach Kindergarten through the age of 21. After college, Mrs. Giusti secured a tenure track position at MMS and has called MMS and SOMSD her home for the past 15 years. Knowing that being a life long learner is important, in 2011, she hit the books again for a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at The College of Saint Elizabeth. She graduated with her M.ED, in 2013. With a new found passion in her career of education, she decided to pursue a parallel dream in becoming an administrator. Mrs. Giusti has been serving as a team leader for the past few years now (currently grade 8) and hopes that this continued role as ESY program coordinator will provide for even more opportunities to fulfill her new passion to lead others with servant leadership as her foundation. Mrs. Giusti got married this past October, and moved back to her hometown, living with her husband, Dominick, and their three fur babies: two kitties, Scout and Leo, and a one year old, MalinoisX puppy, Bodie. She enjoys walking Bodie, playing with the cats, reading, working out, outdoor activities, camping, visiting the Poconos and Jersey Shore, and spending time with family and friends for fun!

Ms. Ilana Stelmakh

Ms. Stelmakh is a Speech Language Specialist at Marshall Elementary School and an active member of The New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association and American Speech and Language Association with an emphasis on early childhood language disorders and bilingualism. She speaks four languages and enjoys using her skills and experience to counsel families through creating language rich environments for their homes. Ms. Stelmakh received her degree in Speech Language Pathology from New York University and has been specializing in early childhood development since beginning her practice in 2005. She is a mother of two teenage children, Jackie and Isaac. She spends her free time enjoying watching her kids make their dreams come true in the world of dance and soccer and loves traveling the world and exploring new cultures. Her favorite place to unwind is anywhere with a beach and palm trees together with her children.

We are excited to have been chosen as your ESY coordinators for 2023! This will be Tivoli & Ryann's fifth year running ESY programming, and Ilana's second year. Please feel free to reach out to us any time and we will do our best to help.
