Science has a fundamental role in understanding the world we live in. Science serves as a pathway for posing questions, clarifying ideas and encouraging exploration. Learners explore the process of checking if their ideas are correct through observation, exploration, experimentation and testing theories against evidence.
Our approach to teaching science is hands-on and often taught as an integrated unit alongside other curriculum areas. Learners are encouraged to explore their prior knowledge on the topic and use methods of inquiry to extend their scientific ideas and knowledge.
Through carefully planned lessons and engaging activities learners examine about how science works. They pose questions, hypothesise, experiment, explore and observe what happens in relation to the world around them. We encourage our learners to participate and actively engage in science concepts, learning essential skills to understand and solve challenging problems in our forever complex world.
