Course Description: The purpose of this course is to examine the following questions:
How has movement and cultural diffusion shaped societies?
How do political and economic decisions affect the lives of individuals,
communities, regions, and the global community?
Students will look at material through the perspective of geographers, anthropologists and historians. There will be an emphasis on reading and writing strategies, as well as map skills and critical thinking. This year’s curriculum will include: the regions of South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and North America. Course Topics: Movement and Cultural Diffusion, Governance and Human Rights, Regional and Global Economics
