Grades
We follow a points based grading system. Each assignment or activity is allotted a point value. Assessments and Performance Tasks will carry more weight toward their grade.
Examples of graded assignments (not limited to)::
Essays - literary essay, argumentative essay, memoir
Projects - Hero’s Journey, Setting Project, One-Pagers
Classwork - MyPath lessons, vocabulary practice, worksheets
Participation - Book Club discussions
Homework
Grades will be updated on a weekly/biweekly basis depending on the type of assignment.
If you are absent, you are expected to make up missed work within 2 days of the absence, so if you are absent Monday, you can speak to me about the work on Tuesday and it is due Thursday. You can find the materials in the “What Did I MIss?” folders and on Google Classroom. If you need any extra time please talk to me or email me.
