There is an excellent CD schools could purchase for this unit of work. It is called 'Parihaka: the art of passive resistance' and is published by Morrison Music Trust. Unfortunately, it is not available online.
To order the CD, go to:
The CD contains a soundscape of music and poetry from the Wellington City Gallery's major exhibition on the history and story of Parihaka. It includes music by Tim Finn and Herbs, the Patea Maori Club, and twelve of New Zealand's finest poets reading their own work.
Kate Revell, Performing Arts Teacher at Christchurch South Intermediate School, has a copy of the CD if you would like to find out more.
