Award ribbons will be given after each event.
Activities at Hermon Mountain are outside. Please dress appropriately. Participants may use the lodge for shelter, bathroom facilities and food.
Concession will be open for purchase of food on Monday (cash only), outside food is permitted.
Up to date athlete medical and release forms as well as the Communicable Disease Liability Waiver are required for athlete participation. Please ask your teams' Head Coach or HOD if you have any questions about these forms.
Special Olympics Maine is now following the recommendations of the Maine CDC regarding Covid guidelines.
Stay home if you are not feeling well, masks are not required, maintain social distance and practice good hand hygiene throughout the event. Spectators are permitted.
In the event of inclement weather, event cancellations will be posted at the top of this page, on our area Facebook page and HODs will be emailed by 6am. The event will be canceled if local schools are canceled or if we are having extremely cold temperatures or heavy rain.
When you see staff at Hermon or Sawyer, be sure to thank them for hosting us!
Day of Event Volunteers (Class B Volunteers) are to complete 2 forms:

Coaches, assistant coaches and staff assisting athletes are asked to meet all requirements for a Volunteer Class A. These can be found at https://www.somaine.org/resources/volunteer-resources/ and can be discussed with your teams' HOD.
Thanks to the generous donation of time and skill of knitters across the state and beyond, Special Olympics Maine was able to provide all athletes and volunteers at our PPH Area Winter Games with a handmade scarf! Thank you! Scarves will be handed out at Hermon Mountain.
