Creating Interactive NY Next Generation Learning Standards Curricula for Remote/In-Person Learning

It's 2020, is your curriculum still collecting dust in large three ring binders?

During this workshop participants will design curricula in preparation for in-person teaching, remote learning, blended learning, and any combination of the three. We curate resources aligned to the Next Generation Learning Standards rather than relying on any one particular program, book or out-of-the-box curriculum.

Standards-Based Interactive Curriculum Development Process:

1) Unpack the NY NGLS

2) Find and complete NYS Assessment Released items aligned to the standard (to better understand the math)

3) Establish Teaching Points/Objectives for each Standard

4) Curate 4-5 online, print, Khan Academy, iReady, IXL, EngagNY, Etc. lessons and tasks that will support each teaching point

5) Create a google form "Exit Ticket" for each lesson with 1 or 2 questions each

6) Hyperlink all lessons, tasks, assignment and assessment directly in the interactive curriculum.
