Dr. Solis is board-certified in forensic psychiatry, which is a subspecialty of psychiatry that involves applying psychiatric knowledge and expertise to legal contexts involving criminal and civil matters. Dr. Solis has experience with performing both criminal and civil forensic psychiatric evaluations, including for competency to stand trial, fitness for duty, disability, and for work-related psychological injury.
Dr. Solis has extensive experience evaluating individuals for mental disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Schizophrenia, which are illnesses that can cause people to have problems in both criminal and civil arenas.
Dr. Solis has presented at a national forensic conference on the topic of when free speech protected by the First Amendment becomes cyberstalking. She is available to provide psychiatric evaluation services of either the victim or the perpetrator for either criminal or civil proceedings.
