Background

I am beginning my 29th year as a professional educator and my second year at Main Street Middle School. I earned my B.A. in English from UC Davis and my M.A. in Special Education from CSU Sacramento. I have lived in the Salinas Valley for almost all of my teaching career. I enjoy helping students be successful and learn to advocate for their needs.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and grown daughters. I like going to the movies and shopping (in non-pandemic times!) I also enjoy walking along the beach and trying out local restaurants.
