The 11th SolBridge International Business Plan Competition
In the preliminary round, 25 teams competed, of which eight qualified for the final round. The final round was held offline to participate in the Solbridge International Business Plan Competition (IBPC) 2023, with events taking place from January 15-19, 2024.
At the opening ceremony, Gyung-Joon Park, director of ecar Plug, started the event with a presentation on the business strategy and future direction of the electric vehicle charging service. Based on this PPT, the final round was held with the expectation of developing the ability to establish a business plan using various information, and improving on-site management skills by dealing with actual corporate topics for students. In particular, the business plan and competition strategy to export one of the major business models of eCar plug to the world, electric vehicle charging stations, were the tasks of the business plan. To this end, Professor Tumibay's special lecture on overseas marketing was held, and the teams had three days to solve the task. The announcement of the final round was made afterward, and as a result, the Indonesian team won first place, showing a high level of achievement.
The Indonesian team conducted a thorough analysis from various perspectives, and based on this, presented an excellent solution. In addition, the team also won the introductory video of Moroccan participants, based on their creativity, expertise, and the number of likes generated on social media. However, all the teams also successfully finished the competition, showcasing their international management and creative problem-solving skills.
Solbridge IBPC provides valuable opportunities to communicate and collaborate with students from various countries by gaining hands-on experience through realistic challenges.
