Residential buildings account for almost a quarter of all energy usage in the state of Oregon. Zero energy home designs produce enough renewable energy to meet annual consumption. They reduce pollution and make your home healthier, quieter, comfortable, and more affordable! Getting started is easier than you think, and there are great resources provided by Energy Trust of Oregon.

Solar Oregon's virtual Go Zero Tour is a multi-media exploration of nine zero energy and "path to zero" homes across the state including multi-family complexes and an off-grid tiny home. Along with a solar electric system, zero energy homes feature minimized air leakage, high levels of insulation, efficient heating and cooling, and other benefits, including:
