12:20-13:00に、受験生の保護者様がSOIS Ambassadors（有志生徒）とアドミッションズ担当者とお話しいただける機会を設ける予定です。場所はRoom306/308です。

今回のLearning Fairの大きな目的は、本校の日々の教育実践を外部にひらき、来校される皆さまとの対話を通して、私たち自身の実践を見つめ直し、次の実践へとつなげていくことにあります。
昨年度は、School Missionに込められた言葉の意味を改めて見直し、再確認する一年と位置づけました。今年度は、そのMissionを各教科・授業の実践の中で具体化し、生徒の学びを手がかりに振り返りながら、実践をより良いものへと更新していく一年と位置づけています。
そのために、今年度は教員一人ひとりの関心や課題意識を出発点とし、全専任教員が5つのテーマ別グループに所属して、それぞれの問いに基づく授業実践と振り返り、共有を重ねています。Learning Fairもまた、その過程の一部です。完成した成果を発表するのではなく、現在進行中の実践をひらき、外部からの新たな視点や問いを得ることで、次の教育実践へとつなげていきたいと考えています。
One of the main purposes of this year’s Learning Fair is to open our everyday educational practices to the wider community and, through dialogue with our visitors, reflect on our own practice and carry that learning forward.
Last year, we focused on revisiting and reaffirming the meaning of our School Mission. This year, we are building on that foundation by translating the Mission into concrete classroom practice, reflecting on student learning, and continuously refining what we do.
To support this work, we are placing particular value on each teacher’s individual interests and areas of inquiry. All full-time teachers are participating in one of five thematic groups, where they are engaging in classroom practice, reflection, and sharing based on their own questions. The Learning Fair is part of that ongoing process. Rather than presenting finished outcomes, we hope to open up our work in progress, gain new perspectives and questions from outside the school, and use what we learn to inform our next steps in practice.

The SOIS mission has been at the heart of our school since we were founded in 1991. It articulates our belief that education goes way beyond the imparting of knowledge and that we have a responsibility to develop young people who are empathetic, innovative and can confidently engage with their world. We hope you will see that on display today.
