McGowan/Ley

Career: Mrs. Ley has taught fifth grade for many years, and is excited to teach math and science again this year at Social Circle Elementary.

Family: Mrs. Ley lives in Loganville with her husband and her four-legged children. 

Education:  Mrs. Ley received her Bachelor's degree from Samford University, and received her teacher certification from the University of Georgia.

Interesting Fact: Mrs. Ley enjoys teaching in many different capacities, including horseback riding at Master's Touch and music for vacation bible school at Social Circle First Baptist. 

Career: Ms. McGowan has been teaching for 23 years and teaches reading, language arts, and social studies. She has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades while working in SCCS. 

Family: Ms. McGowan has two children, McKenzie (27), who just graduated from Ga. State University with a major in marketing and minor in business; and, John Robert (22) who works in sales for GrayBar Electric.

Education:  Ms. McGowan recieved her Bachelors Degree from Mercer University and her Masters Degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Interesting Fact: Bruce, Michelle, and Charlie (her shitzu) enjoy walking, gardening, and growing tons of vegetables, and spending time with their children and grands.
