Program Details

Design: Nascent is an intervention where students ideate-build-market the products they make. Anything that they make ‘MUST’ be sold!

Student teams (2-4 members) can register on line providing necessary details. One of the team members can be designated as a team leader. They can also submit their idea of the product if it is known.  Nascent program recommends multi-disciplinary teams wherever possible. To encourage gender equity, girls are encouraged to participate.

Funding: Each of the registered teams shall get  Rs 500 seed capital. The mechanism of funding can be decided by Sveri as they find it best. Contact details of the team leader and members may be captured for accounting purposes.

Promotion: A web portal sharing Nascent program details, FAQ’s , registration page, mentors list, time lines, and other promotional materials if any has to be made ready prior to the kickoff event.

A poster may be designed and printed on the A3 sheet can be displayed all across the campus, hostels and other prominent places at least a week before the kickoff. 

A registration link/ QR code can be made ready for easy registration. It might be done via an app created for this purpose.

Time line: A kickoff / orientation meeting with students has to be arranged on Day 0. One week subsequent to the kickoff day can be used for funds distribution. 3 weeks shall be allocated for the product development and sales of the products during the program period.  On one of days after 3 weeks of product development, (preferably a Saturday, say 10AM-2PM) an exhibition of the products made by students can be arranged for students from other institutions, faculty, media. Each exhibiting team shall make a card sheet (A0 Size)sharing their,

• Share the experience of Nascent ( In a sentence no more than 4-5 words- may be in English, Marathi or Hindi…)

     Mentors: We can allocate 1 faculty for 10 student teams as mentors. Their major focus shall be, 

• Ensure all the Nascent activities are performed by the students only

• Encourage to participate when teams want to quit

• Technology support

• Material/design/fabrication mentoring if needed

• Sales mentoring

• Take pictures of the products and share it on the portal
