Your privacy is paramount to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how the GEO Analyzer Chrome Extension handles data. Quite simply: we do not collect, store, sell, or track any of your personal data.
GEO Analyzer does not collect any Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
We do not require account creation, logins, or registration.
We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, location, or browsing history.
We do not use any third-party analytics scripts or tracking pixels to monitor your behavior.
The extension processes webpage content strictly on-demand when you interact with it.
Scope: The extension only reads the DOM (text content, HTML tags, schema markup) of the specific active tab when you explicitly trigger an analysis.
Ephemeral Processing: This data is processed locally in your browser memory to generate your GEO score and visualization layers. It is destroyed as soon as the tab is closed or reloaded.
Any settings or configurations you modify within the extension (such as minimum sentence lengths, highlight opacity, or specific UI toggles) are saved entirely on your local machine using Chrome's secure chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device.
If you choose to upgrade your analysis by connecting a primary AI provider API (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini) inside the extension settings:
The extension will send the extracted on-page text to your selected provider solely to perform natural language processing and fact/fluff classification.
No personal account details, identity markers, or browser session profiles are attached to these requests.
Your API keys are stored securely on your local device and are only used to authenticate your direct data-processing requests.
To function correctly, the extension requires the following browser permissions, used strictly as described:
activeTab: To analyze the text structure of the specific webpage you want audited.
scripting: To visually overlay helpful highlight colors (green, red, purple) on top of the text you are optimizing.
storage: To remember your custom threshold preferences across browser sessions.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect technical adjustments or compliance requirements. However, our foundational stance of zero personal data collection will remain unchanged.
