Be the Chief Financial Officer of Your Life
In this introductory series of 6 workshops, you will learn the basics of personal finance, including:
Creating a budget
Using credit cards
Understanding interest rates
Paying taxes
An introduction to careers in finance
About the program
Course Format: 7 1-hour online workshops
This free course is part of the virtual financial foundations series tailored to high school girls. Here, you will learn about money matters in a supportive all-girl environment.
This course is six workshops teaching you about personal finance and a seventh session where you will hear from women working in finance today. We look forward to meeting you!

NOAA Fellowship
NOAA's Young Changemakers Fellowship (YCF) is a year-long opportunity for high school students across the United States, U.S. territories, and tribal nations to make a difference for the ocean and environment.
Applications are now open for our next cohort of changemakers! Each of the 15 high school students selected for this opportunity will:
Travel to D.C. for a fellowship kick-off summit involving hands-on workshops, discussions with government officials, and opportunities to get to know the other members of the cohort (all expenses will be covered for both the changemaker and one accompanying parent / legal guardian).
Join virtual monthly meetings to build changemaking skills and share project progress and challenges.
Match with a NOAA mentor who will assist one-on-one with project planning and offer advice on post-high school career paths.
Be eligible for up to $750 in funding for project implementation.
Receive a $800 stipend for full fellowship completion.

Summary: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware Wowzers! program is designed for young people to access workforce and professional development opportunities within our local clubs and school sites while they are in school. Rate of pay: $15.00 – $16.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Functions:
Supervise the children, groups, and all activities as assigned while exhibiting safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate childcare practices.
Provide daily care for children including feeding and supporting social/emotional needs.
Encourage, engage, and support children in all classroom activities including instructional times, mealtimes, transitions, and gross motor activities.
Implement positive behavior management techniques.
Plans, implements, and actively participates in daily age-appropriate activities to ensure all children are provided an opportunity to learn.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, branch administration, and parents to develop & maintain positive relationships that encourage collaboration, consistency and increase parent participation.
Ensure the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe daily.
Complete and maintain required program documentation including, but not limited to attendance, meal counts, and daily parent communication.
Attend and actively participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development trainings.
Minimum Requirements:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
Must be at least 16 years of age who demonstrates maturity, good judgment, creativity and has had previous camp experience, or experience working with groups of children.
Must be at least four years older than any child in his or her direct care. (for school age jobs and older)
Successful completion of a criminal history, child abuse & adult abuse background check as required by the State of Delaware.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to participate in all group activities.
Must be able to set up and break down all program supplies and equipment.
Must be able to move readily through camp site program areas such as woods and fields.
