Welcome

Welcome to third grade Spanish Immersion! We are so excited to start the school year! This year will look different but we are determined to give each and every student the best learning experience possible!

North Smyrna Elementary continues with the compromise with the Spanish Immersion Program. When your child listens, learns and speaks in Spanish. 

We will continue to immerse students with 50% of their school day in Spanish Language and culture while learning Math and Science. 

The other 50% of the day will be spend on our English Language Arts which includes Reading, Writing, and Grammar as well as Social Studies.

Mrs. Daniels

I have been working in education for 14 years. I have taught in several grades ranging from first grade through sixth grade. I was born and raised in Smyrna, DE. I enjoy volunteering and participating in community events. My favorite candy is Reeses’ and my favorite food is sushi. Some of my hobbies include crafting, cleaning, and organizing. I love the water and enjoy going to the beach, boating, and swimming. I am very excited to meet your children. It is going to be a fun and exciting year!

Señora Marcano

I am a teacher from Puerto Rico for more than 17 years. I came after the hurricane  María in 2017 to start a new life here in Delaware.  ​I have a Masters Degree in Special Education  and a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Technology.  ​I have been a part of the North team since 2018, and I love being a part of the 3rd grade Immersion team.​
