As the prominent provider of construction management services among area public school districts, S. M. Wilson has the unique opportunity to manage many active construction sites on school district campuses.

Meanwhile, a widely known concern throughout the construction industry is the marked decline of young people pursuing careers in the industry, specifically in the skilled trades. Students are often not introduced to the many rewarding, stable and accessible careers in the construction industry, and as a result, are not aware of career paths that could bring them fulfillment and success.

Recognizing this industry-wide concern, along with the company's unique position in the education market, S. M. Wilson has made the financial investment to create, implement and maintain custom SKILLED programming for our school district clients.

Since its founding in 2019, SKILLED programming has already reached hundreds of students across many school districts and educational organizations in the region with tremendous success. S. M. Wilson intends to grow this program and empower its impact for years to come.
