About Mrs. Cantu

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Janet Wilson-Cantu and it is a privilege to be part of your child’s education. I love being an educator and want you to know that I have your child’s best interests in mind at all times. You will find that my classroom focus is on 21st Century Learning skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, communication and creativity.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before I became an educator I worked in the satellite industry. I have worked in the San Marcos Unified School District for 14 years and I have taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grade. I am excited to return to fifth grade.

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my son and husband. Our favorite place to be is the canyonlands of southern Utah. We enjoy hiking and exploring.
