Course Description:

Some of top skills needed for success at the high school are : time management, strong study habits, goal setting, note-taking, organization, critical thinking, questioning, academic argument, and writing. AVID will focus on these areas, as well as college/career research, 4-year high school planning, PSAT test prep., college field trips, guest speakers, leadership, community service opportunities, and team building.
