Dr. Ming Kai Tan is an Associate Scientific Manager and Curator of Etomology at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, National University of Singapore. He was a visiting researcher and a Fyssen Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institut de Systematique, Evolution et Biodiversite (ISYEB) Museum national d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France. He has been into numerous research expeditions in Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam and the Philippines. Since 2010, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and four eBooks. He has been a reviewer in more than 20 international science journals, specifically on Taxonomy and Ecology. Dr. Tan also received awards like the Best Biodiversity Research Award in Sabah, Tony Whitten Conservation Prize, International Society for Plant Molecular Biology Medal and the Malayan Nature Society Silver Medal. He finished his BS in Life Science with specialization in Environmental Biology and his Doctor of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore
