Prof. Zenaida Baoanan was a recipient of the Fulbright-Philippine Agriculture Advanced Research Grant and Fulbright Occasional Lecturer Fund by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars at University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. She is a Professor at the University of the Philippines Baguio. She has served the institution in various capacities. She was Head of the Biodiversity Resources and Management Program, Graduate Programs Coordinator of the MS Conservation and Restoration Ecology Program, and Member of the Biological and Chemical Waste Management, among many others. Currently, she is the Chair of the Native Plant Committee and Member of the PhD in Indigenous Studies Program. She has been involved in many research projects and patents with UP CIDS, DENR Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Service, DENR CAR, and CHED GIA, DARE TO Program. She finished her pos-doctorate degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, PhD and MS in Biology at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and BS Biology at the University of the Philippines College Baguio.
