Meet the Teacher

About Me

Hello! My name is Heidi Schmall and I am the Kindergarten teacher here at St. Mary's. I have been teaching Kindergarten here for my entire career-23 years! I am already on my second generation of students! I was born and raised in Dixon, IL. I attended St. Anne school in Dixon for K-6th grade. I attended Newman for 7th-12th grade. I lived in Dixon until about a year ago when we decided to move to the country! We now live just outside of the big town of Deer Grove, ha ha. I have been married to my husband, Brent for 23 years. I am the mother of 3 boys: Connor-22, Dylan-19, and Liam-14 as well as Duke-my big Rottweiler baby! He just turned 2 in July.

I always look forward to the beginning of the year and meeting my new class! This year may look a little different and we may have to do things a different way, but I promise to do my best to make it a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for your children!
