STAR OF THE WEEK IS GIOVANNI GRASSO! IT'S OUR 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL ON TUESDAY! DRESS DOWN DAY WEDNESDAY FOR $1.00. THURSDAY IS OUR VALENTINES DAY PARTY! FRIDAY IS A HALF-DAY FOR TEACHER INSERVICE.
Religion- We will begin chapter 16- "Forgiveness Is Good". Our faith focus is: We seek forgiveness for doing wrong and forgive those who hurt us. We learned about Zacchaeus and how Jesus forgave him. We learned about the four feelings that we can feel-happy, sad, angry and scared.
Math- We are continuing chapter 6-We are learning to explore halves, fourths, and take a quiz on Wednesday, chapter 6 test Thursday, and Cumulative review on Friday. We will begin chapter 7- Addition Readiness next week.
ELA- We will learn our new sight word- go. We will continue to tap out three letter words, say the letter line, and have guided reading groups every day. We read some books at circle time about the 100th day of school!

We will continue to learn about the star of the week and make a book for them to keep at home. Tommy and Tuppence had a great time with Brynlee and Bobby! Religion- We are begining chapter 11"Preparing Is Good". Our faith focus is: During Advent we prepare for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. We will prepare our hearts through prayer and recognize how God's family prepared for Jesus.
Math- We will continue chapter 4=Numbers 0-10. We will identify and write the numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, learn ordinal numbers, and take a quiz on Thursday.
ELA- We will learn the letter formation and sounds of letters Qu and Zz. We will continue to say the letter line, practice letter recognition by playing games and using the tile boards. We will have our Unit 1 assessment next week and begin to learn sight words. The worksheet will go home next week.
