5th Grade

In ELA last week we had our first quiz on our novel Knots in my Yo-Yo string. We played wewillwrite.com to reinforce our detailed writing and we learned about direct and indirect objects! We had some fun discussions about our vocab words to help us retain them better. These notes were taken either in a copybook or on student laptops. They will be available to help students study when we have our test in two weeks.

We will continue to work through our Unit 2 vocab this week and will also be doing a socratic seminar! This will teach students to think about the text and share their ideas in a thoughtful manner while also reinforcing public speaking skills.

5th grade Mass went beautifully! Thank you for joining us! ⛪

On Monday, 10/26 we will be changing carline. Please pull into the parking lot by the loop and park your car to pick up your child. 

On Tuesday, 11/3, students will need to bring a packed lunch and eat breakfast at home as we will not have breakfast and lunch service on this day. 🥪

Upper school has a field trip coming up on 11/9. 🚍
