Welcome! I am excited to be part of the Saint Mary School community and look forward to another wonderful year of learning and growing together.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Adolescence and Child Psychology from Capella University, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Immaculata University, and Master of Education in Advanced Teaching, Secondary Education. Throughout my ministry and teaching career, I have completed extensive training and earned several certifications in Catholic youth ministry, including my Master Catechist certification through Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
My journey in Catholic education began as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Philip Neri Parish, where I served students in grades 7 through 12. I also spent more than 20 years as a catechist, teaching students in grades 3 through 5. Since joining Saint Mary School in 2021, I have had the joy of teaching students from PreK through 8th grade. This year, I am the 8th grade homeroom teacher and teach Religion for grades 5 through 8 and Grammar for grades 7 and 8.
My husband, Matt, and I are blessed with four children, and being both a parent and an educator has given me a deep appreciation for the partnership between home and school. I believe every child is uniquely gifted by God, and I strive to create a classroom where students feel welcomed, challenged, and encouraged to grow in both faith and knowledge.
I look forward to working with you and your children this year as we learn together, strengthen our faith, and celebrate each student's God-given talents. Together, we will build a classroom community rooted in kindness, respect, and the love of Christ.
