You can search by department
You should make a list of the electives that you are interested in exploring
It helps if you are signed into your SMSD account!
This is a chance to explore things that interest YOU!
Electives still count towards your GPA and graduation requirements
Other Notes:
Anything that is underlined is typically a hyperlink! (except for headings)
There is a teacher listed as point of contact. That likely means that teacher is teaching that class this year. That does not guarantee that is who is teaching the class next year.
Department: This is so you can find it in the Program Planning Guide (PPG; also in Spanish). It also helps to identify which teachers at North may be teaching the class.
Course Code: Each class has a specific Skyward Course Code.
Grade Levels: Some courses are restricted by grade level.
Graduation Requirement: Some classes meet specific graduation requirements, while other classes only count as general elective credits (which you still need to graduate!)
Course Length: Some courses are a semester (0.5 unit of credit) while other courses are a full year (1 unit of credit)
Prerequisite Classes: Some classes require prerequisite courses, teacher recommendations, or director placement. If you are unsure, reach out to the teacher through email.
