College and Career Readiness
High School Curriculum
High schools offer a wide range of academic opportunities to support students’ individual education and career goals. In addition to a strong core curriculum, courses are offered in art, business, family and consumer science, industrial technology, and international languages. The specialized programs including Citizenship/Leadership Development (NJROTC), community service, and teacher education encourage career exploration. Quick Step students may take courses for college credit at local colleges.

The Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) institutions, along with their recently revised admission requirements, are listed below:

Kansas Scholars Curriculum and Eligibility for Kansas State Scholarship
State scholarship applicants will be designated as a State Scholar during their senior year of high school. To be designated, a student must have taken the ACT by the end of December of senior year and complete the Kansas Scholars curriculum which includes:
4 years of English
4 years of math (Algebra 1, Geometry - or Integrated Algebra/Geometry 1 and 2 - Algebra 2, and 1 unit of advanced math)
3 years of science (biology, chemistry, and physics)
3 years of social studies
2 years of one world language
