It's been a long standing tradition for the High School students to bake pies for the Loaves and Fishes Thanksgiving dinner. In the past, this was an initiative of our Key Club and then picked up by the Student Council. As result of COVID-19 protocol over the past two years we were only allowed to collect pie ingredients and donate them to the Salvation Army food pantry.
This year pie baking is back!!!
The Student Council will be collecting supplies to make pies for Holy Family's Thanksgiving dinner from Monday, November 7th through Friday, November 11th. The ingredients will be collected in the main lobby by the S Couch every day next week before school. Student Council will be making the pies after school on Monday, November 21st. Please help us to make someone’s Thanksgiving extra special.
Homeroom vs. Homeroom vs. Faculty and Staff
1 point = canned cherry, blueberry and apple pie filling

3 points = frozen deep dish crusts
The leading team after Wednesday will receive a treat! The winning homeroom at the end of the week will get donuts on Monday!
The High School Placement Test for the Class of 2027 will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The test will be admisistered at SMSA. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Mueller at kmueller@smsacademy.org.
That's right - beginning Thursday, November 10th, Faris Gourmet Popcorn Gift cards will be available to purchase at the Scrip office!
Faris is offering an amazing 10% rebate. $10 and $25 gift cards are available. Have some delicious, award winning popcorn, earn rebates toward your tuition and earn funds to offset the operating costs at SMSA. Now that's a win-win-win!
Did you know that the Visa gift cards purchased in Scrip do not have an activation fee like other Visa gift cards do? No only can these cards be used for every day purchases, but they can also be used to pay your bills; everything from utility bills to medical bills.
We currently have $50, $100, and $250 Visa gift cards in inventory and now $25 Visa gift cards are available and will be part of inventory as well. To pay those bigger bills, $500 Visa cards may also be purchased. Those will not be part of our inventory, but can be ordered and are typically in house 7-10 days from date of purchase.
There's no easier way to support SMSA! Purchase gift cards at face value and shop in store or online.
By shopping with Scrip you earn tuition credit, and help offset the operating costs on the Ledge. Now you can do this directly from your smart phone!

As always, if you or your child become aware of a potentially dangerous situation that may threaten campus safety, we urge you to contact the Fond du Lac Police Department.
To report life threatening urgent matters, please dial 9-1-1. To report concerns that may not be urgent, please call 920-322-3700. You may also call the high school main office at 920-322-8062.
Created by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS), the Speak Up, Speak Out Resource Center (SUSO) is a comprehensive, one-stop place to turn with important concerns currently offering: threat assessment consultation, critical incident response, and general school safety guidance.
Visit the SUSO website for additional information on these three services as well as resources on school safety best practices.
All KG – 12 students who reside within the Fond du Lac city limits and in the boundaries of the FDL School District are eligible to be transported to SMSA from a common point (South Street Parking lot) for pickup and drop-off. The South Street parking lot is located on the north side of Fruth Field off of South Street. The bus is titled “South Street Shuttle” bus. The guidelines set up by the FDL School District are available on the SMSA website within the Resources tab > Parents/Families > SMSA Bus Routes > FDL School District Shuttle to SMSA.
A link to register your children to ride the Shuttle bus is found under the tab FDL School District Shuttle to SMSA.
All families intending to use the South Street Shuttle bus must register their student riders. There is no cost to the family but student information must be provided as a requirement from Johnson Bus. Johnson Bus is required to have this information so that they are able to contact you in the event of any type of delay or emergency.
