High School Placement Test

The High School Placement Test for the Class of 2027 will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The test will be admisistered at SMSA. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Mueller at kmueller@smsacademy.org.

Sponsor the SMSA Staff Christmas Gathering

For over eleven years several SMSA families have sponsored a Christmas Gathering at Whispering Springs for SMSA teachers, administrators, and staff as a way to show their gratitude. For many families, the contribution to the special evening is given in place of individual Christmas gifts, or as an added appreciation.

This year, with the help of your generous donations, SMSA teachers, administrators, and staff will again enjoy an evening of food, beverages, and fantastic camaraderie.

Please note, this opportunity is optional and offered to any SMSA family that would like to contribute. We ask each family interested in participating for a minimum donation of $50.

Ledgerfest Grade Level Auction Baskets!

Planning has begun for our annual Ledgerfest fundraising event. In previous years, we have collected money from each grade level and put together some amazing auction baskets. We will be creating these types of baskets again this year. These grade level baskets will be a part of the Ledgerfest Silent Auction on April 1st.

Click here if you would like to contribute towards your child’s grade level basket. Once you enter a donation amount and click "Next", please fill in your child’s name and grade level (if you are donating for more than one child, please list each name and grade level along with the amount for each child). If you prefer, you may still send cash or check (payable to Andrea Nuss) in an envelope marked: MS Ledgerfest/Kristin Zitlow. Please also indicate your child’s grade level on the envelope.

All contributions are due by Tuesday, February 10th.

Hwy 23 Update

November 21 to November 25:

The contractor anticipates working on the following items:
Continue installing fencing along WIS 23
Continue pavement marking on WIS 23
Install the new lighting poles on the County UU interchange
Complete construction on the County UU interchange
Complete construction on the County K/Highway 151 intersection.

All anticipated construction activities are weather dependent.

Traffic impacts:

County UU (South of WIS 23) – Closed
County UU (North of WIS 23) – Closed
WIS 23 EB lane closure from County Lane to the east: Anticipate delays while using WIS 23 eastbound during construction.
WIS 23 WB lane closure at Highway 151 will continue. Anticipate delays while using WIS 23 westbound during construction.
The Highway 151 southbound off ramp to WIS 23 is closed. There is a detour route posted to access WIS 23 from the north. The ramp is schedule to reopen this weekend.
The County UU interchange is scheduled to be opened late the week of November 21st.
The WIS 23 median crossings have been permanently removed at Taft Road and Poplar Road. Median access will remain at Richards Road and limited median access will be at Tower Road.

Speak Up/Speak Out (SUSO)

Created by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS), the Speak Up, Speak Out Resource Center (SUSO) is a comprehensive, one-stop place to turn with important concerns currently offering: threat assessment consultation, critical incident response, and general school safety guidance.

South Street Shuttle Bus

All KG – 12 students who reside within the Fond du Lac city limits and in the boundaries of the FDL School District are eligible to be transported to SMSA from a common point (South Street Parking lot) for pickup and drop-off. The South Street parking lot is located on the north side of Fruth Field off of South Street. The bus is titled “South Street Shuttle” bus. The guidelines set up by the FDL School District are available on the SMSA website within the Resources tab > Parents/Families > SMSA Bus Routes > FDL School District Shuttle to SMSA.

A link to register your children to ride the Shuttle bus is found under the tab FDL School District Shuttle to SMSA.

All families intending to use the South Street Shuttle bus must register their student riders. There is no cost to the family but student information must be provided as a requirement from Johnson Bus. Johnson Bus is required to have this information so that they are able to contact you in the event of any type of delay or emergency.
