Christmas is nearly here! This past Sunday, we lit the final purple candle on the Advent wreath. Known as the “Angel’s Candle,” fittingly it symbolizes peace—what Jesus came to bring to the Earth through His birth.
Although our world is far from peaceful, one of the places we can find it is at Mass. Many say they feel a sense of calm come over them at Mass, and this is not surprising. As we join together to worship and praise God, we feel a closeness with Him, not only because we are in His House, but also because we are receiving the gift of Jesus’s most precious Body and Blood in the Eucharist.
If you are not doing so already, Holy Family invites you and your loved ones to come experience this at Mass. Christmas is a great time for this, as there are few things that can top the happiness and joy of celebrating the birth of Jesus—the greatest gift in the world.
Please consider joining Holy Family or your local parish this weekend—and every weekend throughout the year. You can see the many Mass times Holy Family has available at hffdl.org/Christmas.
This weekend celebrate Christmas at Holy Family Catholic Community! The parish will offer several Masses on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the churches.
