Holy Family invites you to attend Mass this weekend. By attending Mass each week, you answer God’s call to listen to His Word, share in the joy of the Lord with your fellow parishioners, and receive His graces. You are also demonstrating to God that you are willing to make a sacrifice of your time to give thanks to Him for all he has done for you.
This is why the Catholic Church has made it our sacred obligation to attend Mass on Sundays, calling it the “foremost holy day of obligation in the universal Church.” To deliberately not attend is considered to be a mortal sin—a grave choice that turns us away from God’s love. If you are sick, caring for infants, cannot find a way to Mass without great burden, or are unable to attend for some other serious reason, your obligation is also lifted, according to the Catholic Catechism. In that case, you are invited to join Holy Family for a livestream of its Mass on Facebook @HolyFamilyFdL.
Holy Family recognizes that schedules are very busy, especially time of year. However, as one couple shared in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s recent “Join us at Mass” video, it is during the moments when you feel like you can’t make time to attend Mass that you need to make the time to do so. By attending Mass, you are helping to nourish your soul and strengthen your relationship with God.
To view the Holy Family Catholic Community Mass schedule, please visit hffdl.org/mass. If you do not attend Holy Family, you can find Mass times for your local parish in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee at https://www.archmil.org/Parishes/Find-A-Mass.htm.
We hope that you will take us up on this offer and that we will see you at Mass! It is well worth it!
