Holy Family is Hiring!


Would you like to make an impact on the faith lives of your fellow Holy Family parishioners? The parish is currently seeking a part time Christian Formation Administrative Assistant.


The Administrative Assistant will work with those in the Christian Formation Ministry to organize and support its programs and events. The person in this part-time role will help with background clerical work and record maintenance, including sacraments, as well as coordinate important details for events and work with families receiving the sacrament of Baptism.

Holy Family Seeking Nominations for Parish Trustee

Holy Family is accepting nominations for one of it's Parish Trustee positions. The parish has two trustees that serve the parish who are elected to two-year terms. Any registered member of Holy Family who is a practicing Catholic and over the age of 25 is eligible to be a nominee for parish trustee. 

Nominees must submit a written nomination form, signed by at least 10 parish members, to the Parish Office no later than Friday, June 2nd to be included in the trustee election. 

As of now, current trustee and member of Finance Council Steve Michels, is the only nominee and he is willing to serve another term. He will be reappointed to the position by the pastor, Fr. Ryan Pruess, if he is the only candidate.

Registration Open for Holy Family VBS!

Registration is open for Holy Family Vacation Bible School! 

All children going into grades pre-K through sixth grade this fall are invited to participate in this year's Vacation Bible School: Kingdom of the Sun - A Prayer Safari. From July 31st - August 4th, children will discover God's love while learning through Bible stories, playing games, making crafts, and singing!

Skiff Departing Holy Family

Holy Family is saddened to share that its High School Faith Formation Coordinator Andrew Skiff will be leaving the parish effective May 26th to take a new position in South Bend, Indiana.

Safe Environment Training at Holy Family

This coming Tuesday, May 23rd, Holy Family will offer Safe Environment Training for parish and SMSA volunteers from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart School, 678 Western Avenue. 

Safeguarding Training is a one-time class for all adults age 18 and older that may want to volunteer for anything with minors. The parish encourages anyone who may at some point be interested in volunteering to become Safeguard trained, especially parents who may want to volunteer with activities and programs their children are involved in, such as Vacation Bible School, Christian Formation, and Retreats, or in their classrooms at St. Mary’s Springs Academy. 

Once you complete your training and a background check, you will need to be recertified every five years with a shorter review session that at this time can be completed online. Registration is required for the training

Memorial Day Mass & Holiday Weekend Notes

To honor those who gave their lives for our county, Holy Family will offer multiple Masses on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, including: 

In observance of the holiday, the Holy Family Parish Office will be closed on Monday, May 29th.

Holy Family Adopt-a-Highway Day Rescheduled

Holy Family has rescheduled its Adopt-a-Highway Day to now take place on Friday, June 9th from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M.. Volunteers will meet in the Parish Office lobby, and are asked to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. 

Please note that children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult. Young volunteers must be at least 10 years old.

Take Me Out to...Mass at the Ballpark!

Archdiocesan Eucharistic Congress Revival 

As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, Catholics of all ages and backgrounds are invited to attend the Archdiocesan Eucharistic Congress on Saturday, June 10th at Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center, 3501 S. Lake Drive in St. Francis. 

The day will include Mass, a Eucharistic Procession, opportunities for prayer and service, a keynote presentation from Fr. John Burns, formation sessions, Adoration, a picnic lunch, and more! 

Cost is $10 per individual and $25 per family. Register by June 1st to attend!

Children's Liturgy of the Word Needs You!

We're looking for volunteers to run Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM at Holy Family, 8:30 AM at St. Peter, or 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart.

Join the Human Concerns Youth Group!

High school students with a passion for service and advocacy are invited to join Holy Family once a month for the parish’s Human Concerns Youth Service Group Night!

Free Injury Evaluation from Aurora Sports Health

If pain has moved you from participant to spectator, call Aurora Sports Health to schedule a free injury evaluation. Performed by a licensed athletic trainer, physical therapist or occupational therapist, the free screening includes a pain assessment and recommendations for treatment or physician referral, if needed.
