Soup du Jour is Next Weekend! Volunteers Needed!

Support the St. Katharine Drexel Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry when you purchase delicious soups from 15 local restaurants at Holy Family’s Soup du Jour fundraiser on Saturday, February 18th.

Soup will be sold for $4 per container or three for $10 from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. at Holy Family Church.

Customers are asked to come to the northeast side of the church and wait in their cars, where they will be served in the order they arrive. Any soups remaining after 3:30 P.M. will be sold following the 4:00 P.M. Mass at Holy Family.

Participating restaurants include A&W Restaurant, Avenue 795, Benvenuto’s, Boda’s Restaurant, Fat Joe’s Burgers & Brew, Friar Tuck’s, Gilles Frozen Custard, Oasis Family Restaurant, Red Cabin at Green Acres, The Sweet & Salty Pig, Theo’s 24, Top Shelf Sports Bar & Grille, and Tucker’s. We will also have soup from Downtown Deli, Market, Cafe donated by Elaine Graf and the Associates of First Weber, as well from our Holy Family Commissions, Pastoral Council, and staff.

Holy Family is in need of volunteers to help scoop soup and serve customers for Soup du Jour. Those who would like to scoop soup into containers for the fundraiser would meet at Holy Family at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17th. Those interested in volunteering at Soup du Jour itself would come to Holy Family on Saturday, February 18th from 1:45 to 3:30 P.M. and assist customers.

If you would like to help, please call Erin at the Parish Office at (920) 921-0580 ext. 301.

Training for new Altar Servers

Training for new Holy Family Altar Servers will be held Saturday, February 18th. This is for boys and girls in 4th grade or older who would like to serve at any of the Holy Family church sites (to get you started!), or as a refresher for current altar servers.

Please arrive by 3:40 P.M. in the vesting sacristy at Holy Family to attend and observe at the 4:00 P.M. Mass, followed by an hour of training.

Holy Family's 2023 Mission Speaker

Holy Family Catholic Community will host Church on Fire Founder and JP II Healing Center Associate Bart Schuchts for its 2023 Parish Mission from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. February 19th-21st at Holy Family Church.

Sitting in an NFL locker room, Bart Schuchts had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. At this Parish Mission, he will share what it is like to encounter the Father's love, the fullness of Confirmation, and live into the Resurrection Life of Christ.

Adoration will be offered each night prior to the Mission from 5:30-6:15 P.M. A social will follow the talk. Childcare is available upon request.

Register for (and Sponsor) our Lenten Luncheon

Holy Family will host one of Catholic Charities' Lenten Luncheons on Thursday, March 9th. Each of the four Lenten Luncheon events honors Treasures of the Church Awardees for their compassionate service and celebrates the mission of Catholic Charities.

Those to be honored at the Quad-Counties North Lenten Luncheon  at Holy Family are: Dr. John and Barbara Lent, Charis Pregnancy Help Center, and Deacon Ed Cody.  The lunch will include salad, soup, and dessert, and the cost is $25 per person.

Holy Family is also seeking sponsors for the event, with proceeds of the sponsorship supporting the mission of Catholic Charities.

To learn more about how to sign up and various sponsorships available, visit hffdl.org/lenten-luncheon/ or call Sarah at the Parish Office at (920) 921-0580 ext. 201.

Registration Open for Undone: Freedom for the Feminine Heart

Do you desire to dive deeper into the freedom you were created for?

Do you feel restricted and bound by the knots of sin and shame that conceal the profound beauty of your feminine heart?

The John Paul II Healing Center's Undone - Women's Retreat is a retreat experience for women who desire healing, freedom, and deep transformation in their feminine identity. You will be immersed in truth and love in God's presence as the knots of Eve, planted in us through sin and shame, become Undone.

This retreat is for sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, or any woman who is seeking a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Mary Our Mother, and the Most Holy Trinity. The weekend includes Adoration, time for prayer, worship, small group discussion, interactive and guided meditation, and much more.

Healing the Whole Person Series

Our Healing the Whole Person video series will take place on Thursdays from 7:00 PM -9:00 PM beginning Jan. 26th through March 30th at Holy Family Church and Hall

Facilitated by Jordan Skiff (skiffjordan@gmail.com/(608) 487-6612) and Sheila Skiff, this will be our second time offering this eight-week video series, offering Biblical and Catholic teaching on the wounds and sins that burden us, and how we can find freedom and healing in Christ.  Feedback from our Spring 2022 offering was very positive, and we hope to reach more parishioners with this teaching.

Led by Fr. Bob Schuchts and Sr. Miriam James Heidland, the teaching is combined with personal journaling, Confession, intercessory prayer and Adoration to create a space for true healing to occur.  In addition to the eight video sessions we plan to meet for two additional Thursdays for times of prayer, Confession and Stations of the Cross.
