Arctic Monkeys are a critically acclaimed English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002, known for pioneering the "blog rock" era by gaining initial fame through internet fan-bases rather than traditional media. Consisting of Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook, and Nick O'Malley, they are regarded as one of the UK's most influential bands.  

We chose the Arctic Monkeys band because we are huge fans of their work. Besides liking the music and the band members, we also love their inspiring struggles. Arctic Monkeys' rise to fame is one of the most iconic success stories of the modern era, breaking into the British music industry without conventional record label promotion, but rather through the power of the internet and the loyalty of a local fan base. Which we think is very similar to our own struggles, which rely on collaboration and the internet.
