Get ready for a week-long culinary adventure! Led by Maria Figueroa and Conan Graham, Joy of Eating is a one-of-a-kind Enrichment Week course that takes students beyond the classroom and straight to the table — exploring food, culture, and community across the Bay Area and beyond.
From a lively escape room and public market lunch in Emeryville, to an immersive Brazilian steakhouse experience, a walking food tour through San Francisco's Chinatown and Little Italy, an intimate luncheon at a beloved Berkeley restaurant, and a grand finale at the renowned Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena — every day brings a new destination, a new cuisine, and a new story to taste. Students will discover how food connects us to history, culture, and each other, all while building lasting memories with their peers.
